United Arab Emirates (UAE) leader, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met with Taliban official Sirajuddin Haqqani, wanted by the US with a $10 million bounty. The meeting took place in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the international divide in dealing with the Taliban who seized control of Afghanistan in 2021. While the West doesn't recognize the Taliban as Kabul's government, countries in the Middle East and elsewhere have engaged with them. The talks covered topics such as economic development and regional stability.
