4 trekkers died and 13 were rescued during a trekking expedition in Uttarakhand, India, after encountering extreme weather conditions. The team of 22 trekkers were on their way to Sahastra Tal in Uttarkashi district, northeast of Dehradun. They lost their way due to bad weather on May 29th, and aerial rescue efforts evacuated 13 trekkers, who were hospitalized in stable conditions. Four bodies were recovered.
