TJX Companies, the parent organization of TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods, has deployed body cameras for security personnel in certain stores to combat shoplifting. The decision was made late last year as part of an initiative to reduce theft. TJX executives discussed this move during a recent earnings call, and security workers wearing police-type body cameras may now be encountered by shoppers at some stores belonging to the retailer.
