The Swiss upper house of parliament criticized a European Court of Human Rights ruling, arguing that Swiss authorities were already doing enough to address climate change. Voting 31 to 11, lawmakers backed a motion that criticized the court's "judicial activism". The ruling made Switzerland the first country condemned by an international tribunal for not going far enough in tackling the issue.
