Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stated the government will not allow new structures in Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar due to ecological imbalance caused by deforestation. Hasina suggested that relocating Rohingyas to Bhashan Char would improve their living conditions. She also sought support for repatriating Rohingyas to Myanmar from Nippon Foundation Chairman Yohei Sasakawa.
