Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested human rights activist Sarim Burney upon his arrival in Karachi from the US on allegations of human trafficking, stemming from a complaint from the US government. Burney, who runs the Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International, is accused of trafficking over 25 children to the US and illegally getting them adopted. An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
