The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has set a new world record by processing 1,971 crore transactions in a single day, according to its MD and CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan. The record was achieved on June 5, 2024, within a 6 hours and 15 minutes trading period, between 9:15 am and 3:30 pm. The NSE handled an unprecedented 19.71 billion orders and 280.55 million trades during this time.
