Nigerian Senate passes bill to establish National Animal Husbandry and Ranches Commission after heated debate. The bill, sponsored by Senator Titus Tartenger Zam, aims to control and regulate cattle rearing and ranching business across the country. If passed into law, the proposed Commission will serve as an antidote for the perennial violent clashes between sedentary farmers and nomadic herders in Nigeria. The bill met opposition from Senators Danjuma Goje and Adamu Aliero.
