New Zealand's Q1 2024 terms of trade rose 5.1% with export values up 6.6% and import values down 1.2%.

New Zealand's terms of trade rose by 5.1% in Q1 2024, exceeding the expected 3.1% increase after a 7.8% contraction in the previous quarter, according to Statistics New Zealand. Export values rose by 6.6% to NZ$16.9 billion while import values fell by 1.2% to NZ$18.1 billion. Import prices declined by 5.1% after a 3.8% increase in the previous quarter.
