Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams embarked on her third space mission aboard Boeing's Starliner spacecraft, marking her as the first member aboard the spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS). The Boeing Crew Flight Test mission had faced several years of delays due to setbacks in the spacecraft's development. With this launch, Boeing became the second private firm, alongside Elon Musk's SpaceX, to provide crew transport to and from the ISS.
