Hickory police officer Joseph Hart and suspect Khalil Rashawn Lawrence were both shot during an incident at Gateway Pub; Khalil is charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a firearm on a law enforcement officer, while Khyren Rashaad Lawrence is charged with misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun and misdemeanor going armed to the terror of the public. Officer Hart has been released from the hospital.
