Centrica's British Gas residential energy supply division forecasts sustainable profits by 2024, two years ahead of schedule.

British Gas owner Centrica expects its British Gas residential energy supply division to achieve a sustainable profit level by 2024, two years ahead of schedule, as energy markets stabilise post-crisis. The company aims for operating profits of between £150m and £250m in the division. Centrica's retail supply and optimisation businesses are also on track to hit their medium-term sustainable adjusted operating profit range in 2024.
