Black bear sightings have been reported in mid-Michigan, with one spotted in Clio and another in Saginaw County's Thomas Township. Rachel Lincoln, a DNR Wildlife outreach coordinator, explains that these young male black bears are searching for new home ranges and are more common around this time of year. She advises taking precautions, such as not leaving food or garbage outside, and temporarily bringing in bird feeders.
