Australian e-prescription provider MediSecure has gone into administration and liquidation just weeks after a large-scale ransomware attack. MediSecure, which provided electronic prescriptions, confirmed a data breach had occurred, with personal and health information of users leaked on a dark web forum. The Melbourne-based company was operating since 2009 and allowed prescriptions to be delivered from medical professionals to a pharmacy of an individual's choice.
