45-year-old Steven Halliday from Oldham was jailed for 20 months for a campaign of abuse and controlling behaviour towards his former partner, Shameem Younis, over a 13-month period. The judge said the offences had a 'long-term' and 'serious impact' on the victim. Halliday assaulted Younis multiple times, including pouring boiling hot coffee on her and banging her head into a shop window.
