Wizz Air, a sustainable European airline, reported a 2.1% increase in May passenger numbers to 5.13 million, with a load factor of 91.0%. Capacity increased by 1.2% year-on-year to 5.6 million seats, despite 45 Airbus aircraft being grounded due to GTF engine issues. CO2 emissions for the month were 52.9 grams per passenger/km, a 1.5% rise compared to May 2023, attributed to a suboptimal fleet mix.
