Vietnam's Minister announces 30 million tonnes of rare earth reserves, emphasizing the need for processing to support chip & semiconductor industry.

Vietnam's Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Đặng Quốc Khánh, announced that Vietnam holds around 30 million tonnes of rare earth reserves, yet exploitation and processing research is limited. The country's bauxite reserves amount to 5.8 billion tonnes and titanium reserves are around 600 million tonnes. The minister emphasized the need to consider deep processing and fine processing for rare earths to serve Vietnam's chip and semiconductor industry.
