UN nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi says it's not practical or potentially dangerous for Russia to restart the seized Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in Ukraine due to ongoing warfare.

The UN's nuclear watchdog chief, Rafael Grossi, states that while Russia may eventually restart the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant seized in southeastern Ukraine, it is currently not practical or possibly dangerous to do so due to ongoing warfare in the region. Russia's nuclear energy agency, Rosatom, shares this view.
