Modern Family actress Julie Bowen has spoken about her support for Sarah Hyland during her abusive relationship. Bowen played Hyland's mother on the show and revealed on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast that she viewed herself as a "responsible adult" who happened to be around when needed. Hyland had obtained a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Prokop, in 2014.
