Microsoft is reportedly laying off hundreds of employees in its Azure cloud unit and mixed reality businesses, with up to 1,500 job cuts in Azure for Operators and Mission Engineering. This follows Microsoft's shedding of 1,900 jobs at Activision Blizzard and Xbox earlier this year. The company will continue to invest in strategic growth areas and plans to keep selling HoloLens 2 headsets.
