Mexico's ruling party candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, has won the presidential election, securing a landslide victory with around 58% of votes, according to the National Electoral Institute's rapid sample count. Sheinbaum, a former Mexico City mayor and climate scientist, will become Mexico's first female president.
