Mexico's Claudia Sheinbaum (Morena party) wins presidential election, first female president.

Mexico's Claudia Sheinbaum, a climate scientist and former Mexico City mayor, has won the country's presidential election, according to preliminary results from the National Electoral Institute (INE). Sheinbaum, the candidate of the left-wing Morena party, secured a landslide victory with between 58.3% and 60.7% of the votes. This marks the first time a woman will serve as president of Mexico.
