Florida HS Athletic Association approves NIL policy for high school athletes, allowing them to earn money from name, image, and likeness from 2024-25.

The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has unanimously approved a policy allowing high school athletes to earn money from their name, image, and likeness (NIL). Beginning in the 2024-25 school year, Florida will be the 36th state to adopt NIL language, enabling student-athletes to profit from commercials or sponsorship deals without jeopardizing their eligibility. Parents or guardians will negotiate NIL deals, and the use of school logos and uniforms is prohibited.
