EU Aviation Regulator EASA plans to propose that the FAA acts as an observer on safety audits of Airbus planes, including Boeing's. This follows the recent safety crisis at US planemaker Boeing and the EU watchdog's threat to suspend its indirect approval of Boeing jet production. The aim of the proposal is to increase information sharing and grant reciprocal arrangements with FAA audits of Boeing planes.
