Egypt and Hungary aim to strengthen economic ties, following a 16.9% increase in bilateral trade in 2022. Egypt's Trade and Industry Minister, Ahmed Samir, and Hungary's Minister of National Economy, Marton Nagy, discussed enhancing trade, investment, and industrial cooperation. Trade reached $379m in 2023, up from $324m in 2022. Hungary is keen to expand its investment in Egypt, particularly in pharmaceuticals and transportation sectors.
