The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has lifted its six-week ban on new customer sign-ups for fintechs OPay, Kuda, PalmPay, Paga, and Moniepoint. The ban, imposed in April, aimed to address illicit foreign exchange transactions and cryptocurrency operations. The fintechs are now allowed to resume onboarding new users while adhering to approved Know Your Customer (KYC) verification processes.
