Atlanta Board of Education approved the largest pay increase for teachers since 2009, increasing teacher pay by 11% and staff cost of living by 3-5%. The 2025 budget also funds initiatives, including $11.8m for "Readers are Leaders", $9m for Special Education, $15.4m for a new nutrition program, and $720k for safety & security. The budget aims to improve student outcomes and teacher morale in Atlanta Public Schools.
