Actor Jeremy Renner has revealed that he rejected the opportunity to return for a third "Mission: Impossible" movie due to a plan to kill off his character, William Brandt. Renner stated that he was offered a role for one week in "Fallout" to have his character killed, but he was not comfortable with the decision and instead insisted that if his character was to be used, it would be done right. The actor has not returned to the franchise since "Rogue Nation."
