73-year-old Gary Nairn, former MP for NSW's Eden-Monaro (1996-2007) and prominent community advocate, has passed away. Nairn's diverse career included work as a surveyor, serving as president of the Country Liberal Party in the NT, and appointments to the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Australia and the Mulloon Institute board. He was named an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2015 for his services.
