Toronto's Blackhurst Cultural Centre to receive a $14.12M investment for phase 2 expansion, as announced by Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland, Minister Marci Ien, and Mayor Olivia Chow. The funding will be used to rebuild a heritage building owned by the City of Toronto, allowing the Black-led non-profit organization in Mirvish Village to expand its role as a hub for Black culture and history. Completion is expected in 2025.
