Taoiseach Simon Harris opens €1.5m GAA pitch named after slain Detective Garda Colm Horkan in County Mayo.

Taoiseach Simon Harris has opened a new GAA pitch named after Detective Garda Colm Horkan, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in June 2020. The €1.5 million project, located at Charlestown Sarsfields GAA Club in County Mayo, is a tribute to Horkan's service and includes a memorial pitch and community walkways. The opening ceremony was attended by Justice Minister Helen McEntee, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris, and Horkan's family members.
