Outback Queensland tourism is experiencing a decline, according to the Outback Queensland Tourism Association chairman, Andrew Martin. The drop was expected and communities are adapting to the downturn. Operators have been concerned since the traditional tourism season began in April, with examples such as Eulo Queen Hotel experiencing a 70% decrease in occupancy compared to the previous year.
