The chairs of Northern Ireland's health and social care trusts have warned of "catastrophic impacts" from cutbacks in the region's health service. The leaders said they are "deeply concerned" about the financial outlook for frontline services and warned that inadequate budgetary provision could cause "avoidable and serious harm" to the community. Their warning comes after the Department of Health launched a consultation on budget savings plans in May.
