Free contraception scheme expanded to include women aged 32-35, with coverage for women aged 17 to 35 starting 1 July. Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly announced the extension, supported by €4 million in funding from the Women's Health Fund under the Women's Health Action Plan 2024-2025. The scheme covers costs of GP consultations, family planning, student health and primary care centres, as well as contraception prescriptions.
