Police cordoned off an entrance at Newcastle's RVI hospital after a man climbed onto an internal roof and refused to come down. Windows were smashed at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and officers were called at 7:40am. A cordon is in place, and the public are advised to seek alternative routes to the hospital. Patient services are not affected, and staff and the public are advised to use alternative entrances.
