Macao tops China Tourism Academy's satisfaction-level rankings for mainland tourists, scoring 83.49. The top ranking is due to expansion of the Individual Visit Scheme, consumption vouchers, and easier customs clearance. In Q1 2021, Macao welcomed 8.88 million tourists, a 94.3% increase from last year. The Macao SAR government plans to invest MOP$235 million in promoting international travel this year.
