Kebbi State High Court sentences Farida Abubakar, ex-wife of Chief Magistrate, to death for his murder.

The Kebbi State High Court has sentenced Farida Abubakar, ex-wife of Chief Magistrate Attahiru Muhammad Ibrahim, to death for his murder. The deceased was stabbed to death with a sharp object on his abdomen, neck, and left arm. Chief Judge Umar Abubakar found her guilty based on circumstantial evidence. The defence argued that Abubakar is a first-time offender with aged parents, and she serves as their caregiver.
