Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia (BI), expands relief scheme for specific sectors' lending, offering RRR rate relief from 9%.
Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia (BI), is not planning an across-the-board cut to the reserve requirement ratio (RRR) for banks. Instead, BI will expand a scheme offering relief for lending to specific sectors, such as automotive, trade, electricity, gas, and water utilities. This initiative aims to support economic growth, and from June 1, these sectors will qualify for incentives for relief from the 9% RRR rate.
