Indonesia's annual inflation rate eased more than expected to 2.84% in May, remaining within the central bank's 1.5% to 3.5% target range. The May headline inflation rate was down from 3% in April, while the annual core inflation rate increased slightly to 1.93% from 1.82%. The data from the statistics bureau showed that the slowdown in food costs contributed to the lower-than-expected inflation rate.
