Ford says it led development of new-generation vans, including Volkswagen's next Transporter, through an alliance with Volkswagen. The Blue Oval led development of the new Transit Custom and VW's next-gen van. Ford executives stated they were not aware of any learnings taken from Volkswagen for the new Transit Custom.
