Food Bank for the Heartland plans a $37M building and relocation to address growing demand for food assistance in Omaha.
Food Bank for the Heartland has announced a $37M building and relocation plan to address growing demand for food assistance in the region. The nonprofit's current facility is holding them back from serving the community as much as possible, with 13% of people in Douglas County being food insecure. The new facility, located at 84th and L Streets in Omaha, is expected to alleviate the strain on current resources and better support the community.
