English golfer Laurie Canter clinched his first European Tour title at the European Open in Hamburg. Canter held his nerve in the final round, overcoming three bogeys in a 1-under 72, and finished with a 13-under 279, two shots ahead of Thriston Lawrence of South Africa and Bernd Wiesberger of Austria. Canter, who also plays on the LIV Golf breakaway circuit, had started the day tied for the lead with Italy's Guido Migliozzi.
