AMD announces next-generation 'Zen 5' processors for AI-powered experiences on upcoming desktops and laptops. The new AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series chips feature the world's most powerful NPU for next-gen AI PCs, with up to 12 high-performance 'Zen 5' cores and 24 threads. The AMD Ryzen 900 Series processors for desktops are designed for gamers and content creators, delivering a 16% better IPC performance compared to the previous generation. The Ryzen AI 300 Series, built on new AMD XDNA 2 architecture, enhances productivity and creativity by efficiently handling local AI workloads, generating content, and automating workflows. AMD plans to incorporate new Ryzen AI 300 series laptop processors in its Swift series of thin-and-light laptops, starting in Q3 2024.
