Food inflation increased from 10.22% in April to 10.76% in May, while non-food items' inflation eased slightly to 9.19% in May. Due to persistently high consumer prices, the central bank of Bangladesh has revised its inflation projection for the current fiscal year (2023-24) from 6% to 7.5%.
