A 2022-23 ACM Agri analysis reveals that Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) directors receive significantly higher pay than those of other rural research and development corporations (RDCs) in Australia. AWI's chair, Jock Laurie, was paid $189,627, nearly double the next highest-paid RDC chair, Dairy Australia's James Mann, who earned $100,594. Among the RDCs reporting chair salaries, AWI ranked highest in pay.
