Atlanta United has fired head coach Gonzalo Pineda after a series of disappointing performances, including a 3-2 loss to Charlotte FC. Assistant Coach Rob Valentino will serve as interim head coach as the club searches for a new leader. Pineda joined Atlanta in 2021 and held a 34-34-29 record during his tenure. The team is currently ranked 13th in the Eastern Conference and 24th overall in MLS.
