A child under five died in a boating accident on Baskatong Reservoir in Quebec's Laurentians. Authorities were called at around 6:15 p.m. and divers and nautical patrols were deployed to locate the missing child. The child's body was discovered later that night, with the cause and circumstances of the incident under investigation by the provincial police major crimes unit and accident reconstructionists.
