The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) is investigating a train derailment involving a westbound CN freight train that occurred in northwestern Alberta at around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday in the area of Hinton. Approximately 20 cars were involved, with no confirmation on cargo but no dangerous goods reported. The train derailed on the west side of Hinton and initial reports indicate the derailed cars were carrying sand.
