Pop star Katy Perry has edited NFL player Harrison Butker's controversial commencement speech to show support for the LGBTQ+ community and women, in honor of Pride Month. On June 1, Perry posted an edited version of Butker's speech given at Benedictine College, altering his comments to appear as if he was praising women's achievements and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. She captioned her post, "you can do anything, congratulations and happy pride ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ ๐งก."
