Paddy McGuinness debuted on BBC Radio 2's mid-morning show on June 2nd, following Michael Ball's move to present Love Songs With Michael Ball at 9am. The change occurred after the passing of legendary DJ Steve Wright in February. In 2006, comedian Jason Manford was sacked from warming up for Paddy's debut tour due to his humor being too strong for the opening act, although he maintains there's no bad blood between them.
